Tower Road/SYAR Industries - Owens Corning - Napa

Carlenzoli and Associates provided the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the design of a new 9.5-acre material storage facility located along Tower Road off of State Highway 29 in southern Napa County.

The entire site is situated on approximately 12 acres of land consisting of very flat slopes. Our services included land surveying, hydraulic analysis and design. We provided the site design for approximately 414,000 square feet of concrete surfacing and associated site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection and domestic and irrigation water facilities. We provided earthwork evaluations, Engineer's estimates of probable construction cost and assisted in the preparation of technical and bid specifications. Carlenzoli and Associates was also involved with processing the Application through the County of Napa and City of American Canyon. We also provided Construction Staking and Observation Services.

Once completed, the site will be the storage and distribution center for the Owens Corning Cultured Stone Product.

Fountain Grove Executive Center, Lot 3 - Santa Rosa

Carlenzoli and Associates provided the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the design of a new three-story, 42,600-square-foot professional office facility located in the City of Santa Rosa at the Fountain Grove Executive Center. The site is situated on approximately 2.9 acres of moderately sloping land. Our involvement consisted of working with the project Architect, General Contractor and Geotechnical Engineer designing the on-site improvements for the parking lot and site utilities including storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection, domestic and irrigation water lines. Our services included land surveying, hydraulic analysis and design, fire flow analysis, earthwork evaluation, Engineer's estimates of probable construction cost and coordination with the Owner's design team.

We were also involved with processing the Design Review and Building Permit Applications through the City of Santa Rosa's Department of Community Development.

Norcal Office Building - Cotati

Carlenzoli and Associates provided the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the design of a new single-story, 6,500-square-foot commercial/office facility located in the City of Cotati. The site is situated on approximately 30,000 square feet of land consisting of very flat slopes. We designed the on-site improvements including the parking lot, site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection, domestic and irrigation water lines. Our services included land surveying, hydraulic analysis and design, fire flow analysis, earthwork evaluation, Engineer's estimates of probable construction cost and coordination with the Owner's design team.

We were also involved with processing the Design Review and Building Permit Applications through the City of Cotati. Carlenzoli and Associates provided Construction Staking.

Taft Street Winery - Windsor

Currently located in West Sonoma County, Taft Street Winery is proposing to relocate to the eastern boundary of Windsor, the gateway to the Wine Country. The future location is approximately 28 acres and is planted with 100-year-old Zinfandel vines and Sauvignon Blanc. In addition to the vineyard, the site contains two residences.

Taft Street proposes to move the operation into a new state-of-the-art facility consisting of a 40,000-square-foot processing structure with a 10,000-square-foot crush facility. The residences will be converted to tasting rooms and office space. In addition to the new facility, a grove or picnic area will be created for winery-sponsored events and public gatherings.

Carlenzoli and Associates' involvement with the Taft Street Winery Project has included Planning, Land Surveying and Civil Engineering Services necessary for the design and construction of the on and off-site improvements. We have competed full topographic mapping services, conceptual design and hydraulic analysis. Future services will include the completion of the Improvement Plans, Engineer's estimates, earthwork and the preparation of technical specifications for construction. Additionally, we will be responsible for the preparation of the Plan for Services and Annexation Map from the County of Sonoma to the Town of Windsor.

During construction, we will provide general observation and construction staking.

Memorial Hospital Emergency Room Expansion - Santa Rosa

Carlenzoli and Associates designed the site improvements associated with a new 2,000-square-foot Emergency Room Expansion for the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The area of the expansion contained numerous undocumented utilities including sewer and water laterals, roof and heliport drains. Exposing these utilities during construction created difficulty in accommodating the proposed design while keeping the utilities in operation during the construction. Carlenzoli and Associates was able to react to the situation by assembling the appropriate agencies to review and evaluate proposed alternatives. Upon consensus of the agencies and construction team, cost-effective solutions were incorporated while not compromising the design and construction schedule.

Our primary involvement with this project included a topographic design survey, redesign of the Emergency Room entrance area and modification to the site utilities and drainage.

We are also involved with the agency processing of the Conditional Use Permit with the City of Santa Rosa.

Stonestreet Winery - Alexander Valley

Carlenzoli and Associates provided the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the design of a new 66,000-square-foot winery and 100,000-square-foot underground barrel storage facility located in the heart of Alexander Valley. The site is situated on approximately 172 acres of land consisting of very flat to steep slopes. Our involvement consisted of designing the on-site improvements including the parking lot, site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection, processed waste lines and domestic water facilities. Our services included land surveying, hydraulic analysis and design, Engineer's estimates, earthwork and the preparation of technical specifications. We were also involved with processing the Design Review Application through the County of Sonoma. Construction has been completed on the first phase of this winery.

Carlenzoli and Associates also provided Construction Staking and Observation Services.

Carlenzoli and Associates is currently in the design stage of preparing construction documents for a 100,000-square-foot underground barrel storage facility.

Sonoma Cutrer Winery - Russian River Valley

Carlenzoli and Associates provided Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the expansion of an existing winery. The expansions include a new Production Cellar consisting of nearly 40,000 square feet. The Cellar was eventually covered with approximately 6 to 10-feet of earth to control the overall climate and temperature.

Because this concept and design worked so well, the client decided to expand the Barrel Storage by approximately 26,630 square feet. It, too, is covered with approximately 6 to 10-feet of earth to control the overall climate and temperature.

Our involvement with both projects consisted of providing the field surveying necessary to design the on-site improvements including the parking lots, site utilities such as storm drainage, fire protection, processed waste lines and domestic water facilities. We were involved with processing the Design Review and Building Permit Applications through the County of Sonoma.

Carlenzoli and Associates also provided Construction Staking and Observation Services.

Memorial Hospital Surgery Center - Santa Rosa

Carlenzoli and Associates designed the site improvements associated with a new 12,000-square-foot medical office building near Santa Rosas Memorial Hospital. The site is situated on approximately 2 acres of land consisting of very flat slopes. Our involvement included the design of the parking lot, which includes a complete topographic design survey, site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection and domestic water facilities. We are also involved with processing the Conditional Use Permit with the City of Santa Rosa.

Arterial Vascular Engineering - AVE Medtronic - Santa Rosa

Carlenzoli and Associates designed the site improvements and provided construction-staking services associated with the Arterial Vascular Engineering Campus located in the Fountain Grove Corporate Center in the City of Santa Rosa. This project involved the construction of two 140,000-square-foot buildings, a 5-story parking garage with a capacity of 751 parking spaces and numerous site grading and drainage improvements including an additional 450 on-grade parking stalls. The site is situated on approximately 45 acres of land consisting of slopes up to 35%. Our involvement consisted of designing the parking lot, which included a complete topographic design survey, site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection and domestic water facilities.

Cypress Center Building - Petaluma

Carlenzoli and Associates provided the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the design of a new single-story 186,000-square-foot light industrial and manufacturing facility located in the City of Petaluma. The site is situated on approximately 11.5 acres of very shallow sloping land. Carlenzoli and Associates provided the horizontal and vertical survey control and the coordination for the aerial mapping. Our involvement consisted of designing the on-site improvements including the parking lot for over 550 parking stalls, site utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire protection, sanitary sewer lines, domestic and irrigation water lines. Our services included land surveying, hydraulic analysis and design, earthwork evaluation, Engineer's estimates of probable construction cost and coordination with the Owner's design team.

We were also involved with processing the design through Petaluma Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee (SPARC) and Building Permit Applications through the City of Petaluma.
